Beliefs

Here at Timberline, we believe that the Christian life is far more than a list of do’s and don’ts. Christianity is far more than a religion. It is about a relationship with Jesus Christ! A relationship that none of us deserves, but a relationship that all of us desperately need. This relationship is one that is built upon the Word that God has given to man (The Bible). It is our desire as a church family to build all that this church is upon those sacred principles found in scripture. Join us during any of our scheduled services, and you will soon find that this church believes, teaches and tries to live out the “whole counsel of God”.

  1. We believe the Bible to be the one inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. (II Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:20-21, John 20:31, Matthew 25:35)
  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons:  Father, Son, and
    Holy Spirit.
    (Deuteronomy 6:4, Mark 12:29, Matthew 28:19, II Corinthians 13:14)
  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.

  4. We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely necessary for salvation of the lost and sinful man.
    (Romans 8:11, I Peter 3:18, Romans 10:9-13, I John 1:9)
  5. We believe the Lord Jesus Christ died for men’s sins according to the Scriptures, and all who believe in Him have the forgiveness of sins through His blood. (I Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7)
  6. We believe an individual becomes a child of God by being born of the Holy Spirit by the Word of God through a personal faith in Jesus Christ.

  7. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (Romans 8:16, Galatians 4:6, I John 3:24, I Corinthians 3:16)
  8. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost:  they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (Hebrews 9:27, II Peter 2:9, Revelation 20:12, Psalm 96:13)
  9. We believe that Heaven and Hell are definite places.    (Luke 11:12, Acts 7:49, John 14:2-4, Hebrews 11:10)
  10. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
    (John 14:23, Ephesians 5:30, II Corinthians 11:2, Deuteronomy 14:2)

Humanity is designed to bring glory to their Creator. This is the central aim for everything that is done here at Timberline.

Evangelizing the Lost

We are passionate about shining the light of the Gospel to every corner of the globe through missions and local outreach.

Preaching the Word

God has revealed Himself in the pages of the Holy Scriptures. As the church, we are the pillar and ground of that truth.

Discipling the Believer

God desires that all of His children would be shaped into the image of His Son. We are saved to serve and grow in Jesus.

Participating in Community

The church is a family of believers. Every person plays an important role here as we all grow closer to Christ.
